Meet Our Experienced Dental Team

Krista

Front Office Coordinator

Krista is an experienced Front Office Coordinator who joined the Hester Dental Associates team in 2018. She received her training from the Dental Careers Foundation and has been working in dentistry since 1991. Her career path was inspired by her seven years as an orthodontic patient, starting in third grade, during which she looked up to the office staff who treated her family like their own.

As the first and last person patients see at the office, Krista handles everything from check-in to check-out, phone calls, and all insurance matters. She’s affectionately known as the “office mom.” Krista said what makes Hester Dental unique is that the team genuinely cares for each other and their patients, forming genuine relationships and sharing in their good and bad times.

Outside of work, Krista enjoys spending time with her husband, Kevin, of almost 30 years, and their two children, Cooper and Karter. She loves attending Friday Night Lights to watch her daughter cheer, going to concerts, planning travel adventures, and trying new restaurants. Krista serves as president of her daughter’s cheer booster club and volunteers through her church with Fostering Together.

Lisa

Patient Coordinator

Lisa is a welcoming Front Office Coordinator who joined the Hester Dental Associates team in 2023. She received her dental assisting training from DASA and also attended Paul Mitchell Hair School for cosmetology. Lisa has been working in dentistry since 2021.

As the first person patients see at check-in, Lisa greets everyone with a smile and handles patient payments, insurance, scheduling, and customer service. What she loves most is helping people feel safe and comfortable at the dentist, especially children and anxious patients. She’s also cross-trained in dental assisting and uses her “gift of gab” to put patients at ease. Lisa said what makes Hester Dental unique is being a third-generation family practice with great Christian values.

Outside work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family at the pool or beach, particularly Navarre Beach in Florida. She’s active at Westridge Church, serving in children’s ministry, and is a proud grandmother to two granddaughters. Lisa also continues practicing cosmetology as her “soul-hobby.”

Edna

Dental Hygienist

Edna is a seasoned Registered Dental Hygienist who has been with Hester Dental Associates since 1997. She received her education from Armstrong University in Savannah, Georgia, and has been working in dentistry since 1989. Her career path was inspired by spending many hours in the dental chair as a child, which sparked her interest in dentistry.

Edna’s responsibilities include reviewing medical and dental histories, taking radiographs, scaling and polishing teeth, performing periodontal scaling, applying fluoride and sealants, and providing comprehensive patient education about the connection between dental health and overall health. She has also written dental blogs and served as a consultant for a local dental supply company. Edna said what makes Hester Dental unique is being a generational practice that has served the community since 1967, where patients become part of the family.

Outside of work, Edna enjoys traveling, reading, and spending time with her husband, Arthur. She volunteers at her church for the Women’s Ministry and describes herself as loyal, thorough, caring, generous, and dependable.

Rebecca

Dental Hygienist

As a hygienist, Rebecca frequently educates patients on the best ways to care for their teeth between cleanings. She likes this level of interaction with patients because it gives her the opportunity to really help answer their questions and address any potential concerns. Rebecca said Hester Dental is unique because of how the entire team places such great emphasis on creating a family-friendly, family-oriented atmosphere that’s comfortable and caring. Originally from Navarre Beach, FL, Rebecca and her family relocated to the area in 2015.

When she’s not tending to patients, she enjoys:
DIY projects with her husband, Rob. Spending time with her adult/grown twin boys. Cheering on her son, William, on the lacrosse field and hanging out with her dog, Oscar

Kyler

Dental Hygienist

Kyler is a passionate Registered Dental Hygienist who joined the Hester Dental Associates team in 2025. She received her Bachelor’s in Dental Hygiene from Georgia Highlands College and has been working in dentistry since 2021.

As a hygienist, Kyler enjoys providing cleanings, X-rays, and monitoring gum health, but what she loves most is helping patients feel confident in their smiles and building relationships with them during their appointments. She finds great satisfaction in educating patients about home oral care and seeing them improve their overall health. Kyler said what makes Hester Dental unique is that everyone is so kind and welcoming from the second you walk through the door.

When she’s not caring for patients, Kyler enjoys spending time with her family and boyfriend Kruse, watching movies, and trying new restaurants. She loves attending concerts, doing Pilates, reading, and watching true crime documentaries. Kyler also has a creative side business making hand-painted banners for birthday parties, baby showers, and weddings.

Rose

Dental Assistant

Rose is a dedicated Dental Assistant who joined the Hester Dental Associates team in 2022. She received her training from Georgia Northwestern Technical College and has been working in dentistry since 2009, bringing over 15 years of experience to her role.

Rose describes herself as dependable, knowledgeable, resilient, joyful, and happy. What she finds most passionate about is being a mom to her son McKinley, whom she shares with her husband Josh. Rose said what makes Hester Dental unique is that everyone gets along and enjoys working together as a team.

In her role, Rose also mentors and teaches new dental assistants, sharing her extensive knowledge and experience with those just starting their careers. Outside of work, Rose loves spending time at the lake with her family, which is her favorite way to relax and unwind. Her favorite local restaurant is Swheat Market in downtown Cartersville, and her guilty pleasure is treating herself to a candy bar when leaving the grocery store.

Morgan

Dental Assistant

Morgan is a dedicated Certified Dental Assistant who joined the Hester Dental team in 2025. She received her training from the Accelerated Dental Assisting Academy and has been working in dentistry since 2021. Morgan holds an Associate’s degree in Health Science and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s in Health Science.

Originally planning to explore the dental field before applying to hygiene school, Morgan discovered she truly enjoys the work of a dental assistant. Her responsibilities include assisting doctors in treatment, cleaning and preparing rooms, taking X-rays, scheduling appointments, fabricating temporary crowns and bridges, and sterilization. What she loves most about her role is patient education. Morgan said what makes Hester Dental unique is that it’s been going on for three generations of doctors.
