Meet Dr. Kara Hester Johnson

As a third-generation dentist, Dr. Kara Johnson has always felt a strong calling to the profession. Inspired by both her father and grandfather, she brings a legacy of compassionate care into every patient interaction. Dr. Johnson earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, following her undergraduate studies at the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). She went on to complete a General Practice Residency in Athens, GA, where she expanded her skills in comprehensive and restorative care.

Dr. Johnson is committed to staying at the forefront of dentistry. She has completed over 300 hours in implant training through the AAID MaxiCourse and is an active member of the American Dental Association, Georgia Dental Association, and the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

Outside the office, Dr. Johnson loves traveling, game nights with friends, and cheering on her favorite college football team. You might also find her exploring new coffee shops, baking and decorating cookies, or walking her two goldendoodles, Finley and Gus, with her husband Mike, a local physical therapist.

With a genuine love for people and a meticulous approach to care, Dr. Johnson looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients and helping them achieve confident, healthy smiles.
